New Star Wars: Rogue One teaser
Besides offering up details on the upcoming Death Star expansion, the publisher revealed that the Rogue One: Scarif DLC will mark the final release for the shooter.
In addition to the heroes, developers promise new maps for players to explore, located both on the surface of the Death Star and in the space above it. The two new playable characters include the popular Wookie Chewbaca, and the less popular Trandoshan bounty hunter Bossk. Being the first-ever Star Wars “story” film, Lucasfilm is looking at taking a different approach to Rogue One as it relates to the opening sequence.
The Rogue One panel discussion at the Star Wars Celebration began with the opening crawl from the first Star Wars movie, A New Hope, and was followed by the Rogue One logo. They also announced what the 4th paid Expansion pack will be. Like each expansion to date, it will be made available to season pass holders two weeks before it is sold to all users.
New vehicles, weapons and cards are also introduced.
Few moments in movies are more recognizable than the “Star Wars” opening crawl. Earlier this week “Death Star” was confirmed for a September release. EA and DICE have already done a good job of recreating locations from the original trilogy and they are now looking towards the more recent parts of the Star Wars universe to bring that content to Battlefront. He’ll star alongside Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Mads Mikkelsen, Forest Whitaker, Jiang Wen, Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, and Genevieve O’Reilly.
Disney released a three-minute reel online on Friday of behind-the-scene “Rogue One” footage that featured action, explosions, green screen sets, new creatures and Stormtroopers wading through calm blue waters on a tropical beach.
