New ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ toys reveal Kylo Ren’s voice
Basically, the first day fans can buy the latest Star Wars toys. Well, that depends when you’re reading this, but since it’s Force Friday, I thought I’d offer a handy little reminder…
The new Star Wars film is still more than three months from theaters, but the franchise has already unveiled hundreds of new toys, which are available in Tri-State stores.
This morning we received high-res images and product descriptions for all of the Nerf-themed Star Wars merchandise, except one: the Battle Action Millennium Falcon. That followed hours of live streaming Wednesday and Thursday on YouTube of people “unboxing” some of the hottest new Jedi fare.
“Certainly, this is an exciting launch for us and Star Wars fans alike”, O’Hara said.
“The Force Awakens” comes out December 18th and is expected to be one of the biggest blockbusters of 2015.
Disney, in a statement on StarWars.com, had encouraged Star Wars fans to visit their local retailer starting at midnight tonight, and document their experience on social media using the hashtags #ForceFriday and #MidnightMadness.
“There’s nothing like having a lightsaber in your hand to make you feel like you’re in the movie“, said Joe Ninivaggi, senior brand manager of global marketing for Hasbro’s Star Wars team.
As overwhelming as Force Friday may be for some, this is still just the beginning.
