New Trailer For Daft Punk Documentary Features Praise From Kanye West
The highly sought-after documentary “Daft Punk Unchained“, which premiered on French television in June and in England this past weekend, has finally received its first official trailer courtesy of BBC Worldwide.
It’s just a tease of the documentary, and sadly it doesn’t really do much to stir up interest. Daft Punk Unchained is slated for a worldwide release at some point in 2015.
“Who revolutionized dance music the most?” posits West. “I think you’d say, “Daft Punk”.
The film explores Thomas Bangalter’s and Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo’s journey from Paris suburbs to Grammy-wining electronic producers. Throughout their career they have remained determined to control every link in the chain of their creative work.
“Both artists” appeared on the phenomenally successful Random Access Memories.
The footage in the trailer features many electric duo’s most famous recent collaborators, including Kanye West, Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers. In the era of globalisation and social networks, they rarely speak in public and neither do they show their faces on TV.
Stay tuned for any information on a release date before the end of 2015.
