New trailer for The Mummy offers horror and action aplenty
Universal Pictures released a second official trailer on Sunday for their upcoming reboot ofThe Mummy. He and Jenny (Annabelle Willis) awake Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella), an ancient princess whose destiny to rule Egypt was robbed from her in death. Ahmanet proceeds to wreak havoc in London, and Halsey reveals a spiritual, parasitic connection between Morton and the mummy when she mentions that Ahmanet is using him to regain her powers.
Were there any other pivotal moments in the new trailer for The Mummy that we missed? Morton himself died in a plane crash while he transported the mummy.
This trailer sells even more of the larger scale action combined with the seemingly tame horror that you’d expect from a PG-13 tentpole. That’s just what I know because I’ve seen so many Tom Cruise movies.
What purposes are those? It’s rumored that Crowe’s character will play a larger role in the studio’s monster-based cinematic universe after being introduced in The Mummy.
The evil mummy, Ahmanet, played by Sofia Boutella, is on a quest to destroy the world and this undead monster will bring men to their knees. Naturally, the hope is that director Alex Kurtzman has something better here.
Tom Cruise’s Nick descends into a massive sinkhole opened up by a bomb and accidentally revives the mummified soul of a murderous ancient Egyptian princess. The actor insisted on filming the scene in zero gravity to achieve the most realistic shot possible.
Apparently, though, Ahmanat is not the only one who is back from the dead.
Whenever a movie or a series is being rebooted there are a whole lot of things that goes on.
There’s not much Morton can do about it either, if the final statements of Jake Johnson’s character Vail are to be believed.
