New Trump Campaign Manager Denies Nominee Hurls ‘Personal Insults’
Fox News host Megyn Kelly backed Donald Trump’s new campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, into a corner Monday night on The Kelly File when she asked Conway to square her self-proclaimed disdain for personal insults with her support for Donald Trump.
“Stating that she “[does] think it’s a great idea to have that kind of speech”, Conway said that immigration is a “complex issue”, and that Trump will seek out counsel on how to proceed.
“When dealing with people, we have to be very firm, we have to be very, very strong when people come in illegally”, Trump said during a phone interview on “Fox and Friends”.
Just hours after Donald Trump’s new campaign manager said that he doesn’t “hurl personal insults” at people, the Republican presidential candidate took to Twitter to insult media personalities and his Democratic presidential rival.
“First, secure the borders and actually apply and enforce the law”, Conway said reiterating that simply enforcing laws already on the books, would go a long way in getting a handle on out of control illegal immigration. Let’s talk about what’s bothering Americans. Fairness to our communities.
Conway reiterated that enforcing laws already in place would go a long way on that front and pushed back hard on Kelly’s assertion that the Trump campaign is now making “wiggle room” to get out of earlier campaign promises.
Meanwhile, Conway is taking some shots at Hillary Clinton in a new trailer (posted by BuzzFeed) for a British documentary called President Trump: Can he really win? Her chops in politics include a fair bit of campaign work as well; she advised the 2012 presidential campaign for former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and eventually oversaw a pro-Ted Cruz super PAC previous year. “You think you would know who Hillary Clinton is if she wasn’t married to Bill Clinton, prove it”.
