New Wonder Woman Trailer Reveals Heroine’s Backstory
Before I get too in-depth, you can check out the trailer right now. Are you geared up to watch the film?
Her mother, Queen Hippolyta (played by Connie Nielson), wants to hide her extraordinary abilities from her, but clearly doesn’t succeed for long.
When the first full-length for Wonder Woman debuted, we received an awesome look at the world of Themyscira and the companionship between Diana Prince and Steve Trevor. It’s obviously foreshadowing, but a pivotal moment for the future heroine. It looks like we’ll follow Diana’s story from childhood, and when she meets Steve Trevor she’ll travel with him to London by boat.
Don’t fall for her looks ’cause she can kick butt and you wouldn’t even realise it! Get powers, fight bad guys.
As every woman knows, sometime in life, people will try to knock you down.
It’s hard to pick the best moments from the present, though.
The trailer then shows the major change in setting from the handsome, lush green island to the tense, dark environment of World War I. Here, Wonder Woman arrives to save the world from destroying itself as humans have declared war on each other. Though Hawkgirl told Wonder Woman to use her Lasso of Truth to find out if Hades was lying or not, Diana chose to leave it as a mystery. It was then revealed to her that [SPOILER] her father was actually Zeus, and the clay thing was just a lie. Plus, there appears to be confirmation of our theory that Ares resides within Danny Huston’s German military character, General Erich Ludendorff with a certain like that Gal Gadot says when announcing who she is. But finally, her fans will see her soon in June in theaters in both the US and the UK.
