New Year’s Eve looks dry, chilly for most of New Hampshire
Temperatures will be a few degrees cooler as they top out in the upper 20’s and lower 30’s. Temperatures are ranging from the mid-40s in West Alabama at Demopolis, to mid-50s in Montgomery, to upper 60s in the Wiregrass Region of Southeast Alabama. Mostly sunny skies and chilly temperatures continue for Sunday, with high temperatures around 41 degrees. A neck scarf and something heavier than a sweater will be appropriate for traveling to New Year’s Eve house parties or bar-hopping. That’s after a record November, and more than 10 inches fell in some parts of Sioux Falls on Christmas Day and another 5.2 inches Monday night.
Clouds will return this weekend, but no rain.
The first day of 2016 will be cold, with a mix of clouds and sun.
The New Year’s Eve timeline will support temperatures in the lower 30s by 7pm tonight and dropping into the upper 20s near or after the midnight hours. Lows will be in the lower 20s by tomorrow morning.
Highs above normal by Thursday with some locations pushing 60 degrees. Wednesday will start out with teens for many of us and highs will be back in the lower 40s. We’re going to remain slightly unsettled and mostly cloudy Thursday through the weekend with daily chances at light snow. We’ll have highs in the 40s for the start of the work week.
Monday night: Mostly clear with lows in the lower 30s.
