Newcastle beat Hammers, Crystal Palace in £12m race for Swansea midfielder
Jonjo Shelvey will leave Swansea City for Newcastle United after chairman Huw Jenkins reportedly confirmed a fee has been agreed between the two clubs.
Shelvey’s former club Liverpool are also believed to be receiving a decent chunk of that – possibly as much as 30% due to a clause in the deal that saw him join the Swans for £5m in 2013. The 23-year-old is expected to undergo a medical later on Tuesday.
