Newsreader can’t take any more Kardashians

During his rant about the Kardashians, John Brown said, “No one cares about this family anymore”. Sorry, I lost my mind a bit, although it was partially in jest!

Flatly refusing to talk about them, Brown stormed off set, unleashing an anti-Kardashian tirade as he went.

Florida’s Good Day Orlando co-host John Brown decided he’d had enough on Friday when on-air conversation turned to Kylie Jenner’s pet rabbit. “We’ll do more Kardashian stories, if they make news”.

Kaufeldt, who was joined by a replacement anchor, tried to carry on the rest of the show but Brown stood on-set and continued to shout: “I don’t care about this family”. I don’t want to talk about the Kardashians, we do it every freaking show.

He adds: “I don’t care about this family”. However, Brown forgot to turn off his mic after walking out and his rants against the highly covered celebrity family were clearly heard in the video. The morning show was reporting on Kylie’s new pet rabbit, Bruce, and Brown was not happy. “I can’t take it anymore!” he yelled as his colleagues looked on in disbelief, then implored him to “breathe”.

“Listen to the research, no one cares about the Kardashians anymore”. “We like to have a little fun in our 9 o’clock hour”, Kaufeldt said. “This is surreal. I’ve never lived through anything like this”, he wrote. But, for me, the rise of the Kardashians has come to represent everything that has gone wrong with our social media-obsessed culture in the digital age. He complained that they talk about the Kardashians daily.

“You left me!” protests Amy, though at this point it seems pretty clear that she’s just playing up the situation for the cameras.
