Newton defends actions at Super Bowl: ‘I will not conform’
“I have seen so much about it. I have seen so much blown out of proportion”.
The problem with that is that plenty of players and coaches that no one would describe as a loser have been able to handle the aftermath of a loss without the reaction that Newton had on Sunday night. “Everybody reacts differently, and unfortunately, at the end of the day we didn’t get it done”.
The company’s verified Twitter account said late Sunday, “We didn’t know the shout out was coming either, but we’re glad it did”. “I never proclaimed that I was flawless, but at the end of the day, people pick and do things of that sort”. I think what the Broncos understand is how to turn it up. Who likes to lose? “I’m just happy we were on the good side of things this time”.
The public doesn’t know what was going on in Newton’s head. We did what a lot of people didn’t expect us to do. “It’s over, it’s done and we are going off to the 2016 season”. “We were hungry for that one”. He also became the first quarterback to win an National Football League title with two teams. What are your memories of that moment? I can tell you that. In an interview with Pro Football Talk, Rivera defended his quarterback’s decision not to dive after his fourth-quarter fumble. I fumbled – that’s fine. “How we lose shows sometimes more about our character than how we win, and that you’ve really got to be gracious because you’re setting an example”.
Cam said as long as his teammates and coaches are satisfied with his effort that’s all that matters.
Newton said he believes the situation is being overblown by the media, and added he doesn’t plan to change how he reacts to losing just to appease his critics. “But to say some things along the lines of that, and to say it in my face, that’s extremely different”. USA Today reported what happened when he was asked about his reaction following the game.
Regardless of how it all works out, the two sides have less than a month to get there. You never once heard anybody on this team have to sit out games because of what they did.
He said the fumble alone isn’t the reason the Panthers lost, at which point some teammates yelled their agreement. They belief they have in each other and the fact that they wanted to play for each other as opposed to just looking at one player to make all of the plays.
