NextGen Climate to air new TV and digital ads during GOP debate

It will take place at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and will air on CNBC.

It’s a niche topic, for sure, lacking social issues like abortion and immigration that are red meat for the conservative base.

CNBC has revealed a peek at its set for the its iteration of a 2016 Republican presidential debate.

It’s been six weeks since the Republican presidential field last met. That strategy – which also included the network selling ads against the live stream – produced a record number of concurrent viewers on a live stream during the Democratic debate. And for the first time, Carson has taken a narrow lead over Trump in a new national survey.

Will Trump target Carson, who’s leading in three Iowa polls and one nationally? And he’s mocked Carson’s low-key performance in debates, joking at a rally that Carson missed the news of his poll surge because he was “sleeping”, and saying that he has “lower energy than Bush”. Originally expected to be another marathon session, CNBC acquiesced to the demands of several of the contenders eager for a more succinct session.

“I will not make the pledge at this time”, Trump said.

“The perception now is he is not the favorite, and he is the underdog”, said Ed Easton, a Bush fundraiser from Miami who attended the candidate’s Houston retreat (which Trump derided as Bush’s meeting “with Mommy and Daddy”). “I would not, as president of the United States, enforce federal law in Colorado where Colorado voters have said they want to legalize marijuana”. I want it to be real.

They are working with a lawyer, but say they don’t plan on taking any legal action at this time. “Whether that’s Trump or anyone else poking at us or us poking back at them, let’s have an exchange. And I think they can see through any lack of spontaneity on their part or ours”.
