Nexus 6P will be exclusively be sold by SoftBank in Japan
The latest Nexus 6P, though, promises to be different, and it is already looking like one of the finest Android smartphones launched in 2015. Google’s Vice President and MD for India and South East Asia, Rajan Anandan will be present at the event. If you buy a Samsung smartphone here in the United States of America, you don’t just have Android as Google made it, you have Samsung’s own interpretation of the software with their own modifications done to suit their own needs – and yours. Phones like the HTC One M7 won’t be updated officially, but may see unofficial support from third-party projects.
Funnily enough, a couple of what are usually standout features – integrated fingerprint sensors and aerospace-grade aluminium bodywork – are present on both devices. It is the successor to the Nexus 5, which was launched back in 2013.
The Note’s rear camera is excellent, but Google is making big promises about the new Nexus phones’ image quality. Running on Android Marshmallow, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and is paired with 2GB of RAM.
That said, let’s not write off the iPhone 6S Plus, as the use of fewer, faster cores could well see it compete in single-core benchmarks and single-threaded tasks. Nexus users can download the latest OS manually from Google Developer, but it’s usually best to wait for the OTA version. It comes with Fingerprint scanner dubbed as Nexus Imprint. There’s also a number of carrier modifications made when a device is sold through your favorite wireless provider.
The bottom-line is that the Nexus 5X is a tool, a smartphone that is practical and comparatively affordable with a price of around Rs 32,000. Under the hood, it’s equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 clocked at 2.7 GHz and the Adreno 420 GPU, which allows gamers and heavy app users a seamless experience on the smartphone. It features a 12.3-megapixel rear camera that supports 4K and slow-motion video recording, and an 8-megapixel front camera with HDR+ for smooth video calling.
The 16GB Nexus 5X will be priced at $379.99, but now the price of the 32GB option is not known.
These are the color options you can choose from for each phone. It has been confirmed that the Nexus 5X will be up for pre-order on Google Play in the United Kingdom, US, Japan, Ireland and South Korea, in “Carbon”, “Quartz” and “Ice Blue” finishes.
