Neymar’s Dad Talks About Man Utd Bids
Discussing the player’s future, his father added: “Barcelona are not selling, he has three years still to go on his contract”.
Apparently, those Neymar to Manchester United rumours weren’t orchestrated to improve the Brazilian’s contract. Santos has also alleged Neymar violated Article 17 of FIFA’s transfer rules, which deals with breaching a contract.
The Brazilian club said it lodged its formal complaint in May, and only released a statement on the matter now because of Brazilian media reports that said the club was demanding the player’s suspension for six months.
Federation Internationale de Football Association said it wouldn’t comment “nor to give an estimation of the time line” of the case.
Santos wants a ban and $62 million in damages.
“Wagner Ribeiro told Brazil’s UOL (via ESPN FC) on Thursday that Santos’s petition was “absurd” and unconstitutional”, noting it would likely amount to nothing.
“Despite being an idol, we denounce Neymar because there are things in which we disagree”.
Neymar is now embroiled in a transfer saga with former club Santos, who claim they are entitled to compensation from Barcelona over the player’s sale in 2013.
“I am knowing because Neymar received a summons and will be charged for this”.
Brazil won one of its opening two qualifiers, with matches against Argentina and Peru to follow in November.
