NFL plans to increase security inside and outside stadiums
The NY Police Department deployed its “Critical Response Command” – officers equipped with heavy weapons and other tactical equipment – to important locations including transportation hubs and the Broadway theater district.

“My heart is broken by the tragic news of today’s horrific attacks in Paris”.
“We are monitoring the situation”, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Flynn told the Asbury Park Press.
Officials in NY, Chicago and Philadelphia also said they had received no intelligence indicating any threats.
It said it was increasing patrols and checking of bags, buses and trains.
“The safety of our fans, stadium personnel, and teams at all NFL games is our priority, and security at our games is robust”, the league said in a statement.
More than 150 people were killed when a series of apparently coordinated shootings and explosions rocked Paris, which officials said evoked memories of the deadly 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai, India.
“Yes, we have increased security and are on heightened alert”, Seahawks’ Director of Communications for Community Relations Suzanne Lavender said. Thirteen National Hockey League games were scheduled for Saturday and two on Sunday.

Apprehension about being in large public places not hard to come by, after seeing soft targets, like restaurants, a soccer stadium and a concert hall attacked. The United States will do everything in our power to assist the French, as well as bring those responsible to justice.
The Bucs, who host the Dallas Cowboys at 1 p.m.in front of an expected sold-out crowd, already follow the NFL’s very strict security protocol on a regular basis.
“This is an attack not just on Paris”.
According to DHS, at this time the agency does not know of a specific or credible threats of an attack on the US homeland of the type that occurred in Paris.
NY and Washington DC, as well as the country of Singapore, went on a heightened state of alert Friday, November 13, after attacks in Paris killed over 120 people.
“The terrorist attacks tonight in Paris are horrific acts on innocent civilians perpetrated by depraved individuals”.
