NFL Star DeSean Jackson’s Los Angeles Home Stormed By Gunmen
The Washington Redskins wide receiver’s Los Angeles home was broken into on Wednesday, according to TMZ Sports.
According to TMZ Sports, a group of four or five people armed with guns stormed into Jackson’s residence and engaged in a fight with six people who were inside the home.
Law enforcement sources tell us at least one person in the home was pistol whipped and suffered minor injuries. Sources connected to the incident tell us the intruders appeared to know exactly where the security cameras were placed. Police have leads on a few of the intruders and believe the incident was “gang related”.
Chris Brown, who lives in the same neighborhood, was the victim of a similar home invasion in July. It’s a legal matter which is in the hands of law enforcement.
The National Football League star and subject of BET reality series “DeSean Jackson: Home Team” was not home when the robbers struck. “He’s now in Virginia practicing with the team”, said Jackson’s publicist, Denise White. “We’re waiting for police to let us know more about the incident”. They also said they didn’t think Jackson was the target, but rather someone staying inside the home. In January of 2014, Jackson’s home in South Philly was burglarized.
Jackson has called previous allegations of gang ties “crazy”.
And that it could all potentially be gang related.
Jackson has not played in a game for the Redskins since tearing his left hamstring in the season opener and is listed as out for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
That doesn’t mean that Jackson is a gang member himself, but he has acknowledged knowing and being friendly with gang members in the past.
