NHL: Winter Classic features Bruins and Canadiens
After Boston Bruins star goaltender Tuukka Rask showed off his Tom Brady-emblazoned, customized Winter Classic mask, the legendary quarterback wanted to offer the same respect.
All eyes are on Gillette Stadium, as the Bruins are set to take on the Canadiens in the Winter Classic Friday afternoon, and several players are paying tribute to the home team.
Canadiens’ right winger Brandon Gallagher will be giving Montreal a surely much-appreciated boost when he returns from the injured list at the Winter Classic today, having last played on November 22, before breaking his hand and missing five weeks, according to ESPN.

The win was just Montreal’s third in 13 games, but their eighth straight road win against Boston.
The puck will drop between the Bruins and the Habs at 1 p.m.
The Boston Bruins (20-12-4) are hosting the Montreal Canadiens (21-15-3). Mini street hockey nets were strewn about the parking lot, with games of “street shinny” taking place feet away from people enjoying an adult beverage or six. Boston captain Zdeno Chara was like a New England pass rusher when he sacked Montreal’s Brendan Gallagher in the first period.
Condon did this in front of a hometown crowd, making his two winning periods an even bigger honor than usual.
Forgot to tweet this earlier, but a close up of P.K. Subban’s custom Winter Classic skates. “But, again, it’s a new game [on Friday], and we’ve got to bring what we brought there last time we played them and even more”. It’s not out of the realm that a Boston kid like Condon could have an otherworldly performance between the pipes living out his Winter Classic dreams in his home state.
