Nickelback cancels tour dates including Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre show
A ‘medical emergency’ for Nickelback’s lead singer has forced the popular band to cancel the remainder of its 2015 tour, including an August concert in Charlotte.
A few days ago, the band cancelled their weekend shows hoping that it would give the 40-year-old Kroeger enough time to rest up his vocal chords, but the injury turned into a much more serious diagnosis.
“We completely understand people will be upset about this”, he said.
He is expected to make a complete recovery and the tour will resume in Europe on September 30.
Nickleback have scrapped the rest of their North American tour.
Ticketholders can get their money back at the point of purchase, the band said.
NICKELBACK’s latest album, “No Fixed Address“, sold around 80,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 4 on The Billboard 200 chart.
The band’s most recent album, “No Fixed Address,” was released previous year and has racked up platinum sales in Canada. The tour will return to the United States in 2016.
