Nicki Minaj Still Upset With Miley Cyrus For Bashing Her
Nicki Minaj did a candid interview with a reporter for New York Times who asked her questions regarding her relationship with Meek Mill, the latter’s feud with Drake, and her beef with Miley Cyrus.
This is the second time in nearly six weeks Minaj has tried freely going up against Cyrus. In that different fight, Minaj and Quick butted heads after Quick mixed up Minaj’s tweets for an individual assault. I was more keen on an alternate sort of dramatization-the kind deserving of a HBO arrangement, in which your labelmate is discharging unlimited dis tracks against your beau and your coach is suing your mark president for a king’s ransom. Mill then produced his own and released “Wanna Know” as a comeback at Drake.
Apart from the men’s feud, Minaj is also now ill-hearted towards Miley Cyrus.
“The fact that you feel upset about me speaking on something that affects black women makes me feel like you have a few big balls”.
Here’s the short version: Minaj expressed irritation on Twitter with a quantifiable double standard that leaves black women largely shut out of the prestige categories for award shows.
For example, her so-called feud with pop star Taylor Swift earlier this year was actually a comment on the racist and sexist nature of the music industry.
“If you do things with an open heart and you come at things with love, you would be heard and I would respect your statement”. But in fact she was dealing with the poorly understood condition of Lupus which affects the immune system, which fails to detect the difference between healthy tissue and germs and viruses which enter the system from the outside.
In the days following, there were blind items and anonymously sourced pieces claiming that MTV had nothing to do with orchestrating the confrontation, and ones that claimed the opposite.
It’s like a choose-your-own-adventure of gossip; you decide what sounds most plausible.
Nicki Minaj was interviewed by a New York Times reporter and she slammed her down. She offered her take on a wider conversation about cultural appropriation and identity, and explained why she found Cyrus so offensive. “I’m in chemotherapy. You’re a**holes”.
Cyrus, for what it’s worth, has continued with the same shtick post-VMAs. That’s why when Minaj was asked about another recent feud in her life – between her boyfriend, Meek Mill, and her friend/frequent collaborator, Drake – Minaj didn’t allow herself to be forced into any pre-written media narrative.
