Nicki Minaj Talks Family’s Hesitation To Accept Meek Mill & Kissing The MMG

Since they’ve come out as hip-hop’s new power couple, Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill have taken on plenty of unwarranted hate.

But the duo take back the power in their latest spread with GQ. The conversation did in fact yield a few li’l rubies. “My favorite thing about Meek is kissing him, which is weird…it’s contagious because I used to be always asking him to kiss him when we first started talking”.

“I remember sitting on my balcony at my house and just being on the phone with him until it started getting dark outside”, she said.

In his final verse on the track, Drake raps about someone who’s “doing me dirty”, and taunts the person in question about how “that n***a can’t save your soul”.

But not everyone was thrilled with Mill and Minaj as a couple. “Meek is a grown a** man. I may not agree with everything he says”.

Nicki admitted that it’s not easy for a guy to date her, but she “really respects” Meek for pursuing her. “In the beginning he thought we could be in a relationship and I kept telling him no, I don’t think he was ready”, she said, “but he has a very strong mind and he was very convincing and persuasive”. In a recent video for “All Eyes on You”, Nicki and Meek can’t get their hands off each other. “We talked. We got over it. She called me and spoke about it, and I told her, I would never come at you”.

Minaj’s own family had concerns, too. For their joint interview with GQ, the couple known as Omeeka opens up about how they fell for each other, misconceptions people have, and how they spend their free time together.

“He was on my [mind] the day before because I saw him going off on twitter, and I was like, ‘Oh man, he needs somebody to like make him feel good right now,” she explained. “She likes none of that shit”. Bad as shit. Ambitious.
