Nicola Stephenson to join the cast — Emmerdale News
Nicola Stephenson has joined the cast of Emmerdale, it has been revealed.
Nicola Stephenson is set to make a comeback to British soaps with a new role in Emmerdale, over 20 years after she left Brookside. The 44-year-old actress, who is best known for starring in Brookside, will play new character Tess.
The actress is being introduced to the ITV soap as a new character called Tess, a teaching assistant who will cross paths with Paddy Kirk. “It’s a British institution and I’m very excited about the storylines that they have planned for my character”.
Described as warm and assured, and with a great heart, Tess will be a welcome, friendly face in the village – but her life will take an unexpected turn when she meets Paddy.
Series producer Kate Oates said she is “delighted” to have Nicola on board, promising her arrival will “mix things up in the village”.
She is to move over to the dales to play Tess, a big-hearted teaching assistant.
Nicola starts filming this month and we’ll be able to see her on screen in Autumn.
Stephenson added: ‘I’m thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale.
Nicola recently appeared in ITV drama Safe House as Ali alongside Legend actor Christopher Eccleston and Waterloo Road’s Jason Merrells.
