Gernot Rohr on Saturday secured his first win as Super Eagles Technical Adviser as the team defeated Tanzania by a lone goal in a qualifying match for the AFCON 2017.

Wednesday thrashed Akwa United of Uyo, 3-0 in a friendly match to prepare the national team for the Nations Cup qualifying match against Tanzania.

Kelechi Iheanacho’s lone strike was all the hosts needed to see off the strong-willed Taifa Stars who came to Uyo with the ambition of shocking the Super Eagles.
