Nigeria to battle Burkina Faso in All Africa Games football semis

Head Coach of the U-23 National Team, Samson Siasia, has accepted the balme for his side defeat to Burkina Faso on Tuesday evening, but pointed out that there is still the bronze medal to fight for.
“I am totally disappointed; we can’t play like this in Senegal and expect to qualify for the 2016 Olympics”.
He also disclosed his intention to search for new players who will help prosecute the country’s mission to return to the men’s Football Tournament at next year’s Olympic Games having missed out of the previous edition. I plan to travel to talk to some players I have already penciled down, then hopefully, the team assembles the week commencing September 30 to prepare for the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations.

The Nigerians have scored three goals in two games and conceded one, but have created a dozen more chances which they have failed to convert, and Siasia is saying they must get their scoring boots on against the Burkinabes.
The African Games, formerly known as the All Africa Games, is a multi-discipline sports event, featuring 22 different events, which is held every four years.

The stage is now set for the Young Stallions to battle Group B winners Nigeria for a spot in the final on Tuesday, while hosts, Congo, who finished tops in Group A, would be facing Group B runners-up Senegal in the other semi-final the same day.
