Nike Drops ‘Unlimited Together’ Film With Team USA Basketball Stars
In Nike’s latest ad, United Together, Chance delivers a rousing song about unity and America, weaving in references to the Star Spangled Banner and the Constitution. The somber yet exciting scene for the video is set by the entire thing being shot in black and white. He starts off with the lines: “We want some heroes in our story/We need highlights for a nightlight/We need glory for a while/We want results/We want results”.
Chance raps and sings over a piano assisted beat about what the people would want from our “heros” and rounds it out with letting the Olympians know that “wherever you go, we’re right by your side”.
Chance The Rapper has had a huge year in 2016 with the release of his third mixtape Coloring Book. The film is part of the sports corporation’s new “Nike Unlimited Campaign”.
The Chicago native who is known for his love of the mixtape and his city continues to increase in popularity and was recently featured in a new commercial for Nike.
Unlike most of us, the artist has just unveiled a specialized, new anthem in support of USA Basketball’s men’s and women’s teams, which he calls “Unlimited Together”.
The commercial features Chance the Rapper, who much like the USA Basketball team, is young and on the rise.
