Nikki Bella Talks Social Media Comments, AJ Lee, John Cena Influencing Her
Season four of Total Divas wrapped, but not without leaving us with a cliffhanger to sink our teeth into during the WWE reality show’s season finale. I think having all those tag matches, that’s where our downs are. So I think we are now back up and think as long as we keep telling stories each week. Where was this going? But instead the call was made to have Nikki pass AJ, only for Charlotte to beat her six nights later. People were complaining about that.
After a promising start following the arrivals of Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch to give the division a desperately needed refresh, the movement has since fallen prone to the exact same booking issues that caused such widespread fan apathy towards the women of WWE in the first place.
Vince [McMahon] and our writers were so cool with the promo. It’s definitely messy because it’s someone I dated for a long time who says he wants to give me marriage and babies, and he knows that’s what I’ve always wanted. I wanted to go a little bit harder, but I thought, ‘nah, I’ll save it. Now a team has split up and everyone is going for everyone, which is great. Other sets I’m looking forward to include the Sting DVD and the Dudley Boyz DVD that is rumoured to be in production for a 2016 release.
It was definitely an adrenaline rush. I don’t mind being hated. They were cheering most of it. I was like, ‘No, that’s not the way it was supposed to be.’ It was great.
At the Paige’s end, the Diva struggles with how to come clean to her boyfriend, er fiancé, about not wanting to get married.
I was on the WWE creative team when we devised the story line to have a Nikki turn on her sister, Brie, during Brie’s match with Stephanie McMahon at SummerSlam, which would then lead to a Brie vs. Nikki program.
To put it mildly, the “Divas Revolution” was floundering, but all of that might’ve changed on Monday night with one exceptional promo by the woman who arguably did start the whole ball rolling – Paige.
It’s Monday, which means it’s time to hand out a few awards and toss a few criticism WWE’s way as we take a look at the past week in WWE TV.
