Nikki Haley’s condition: It’s my speech
“What is it that Donald Trump is saying that makes him one of these angriest voices?” she was asked. Her speech was at times critical of Republicans writ large, not just Trump. “Because some of the things he’s saying is resonating with the American people, or he wouldn’t be at the percentages of the polls that he is”. We as Republicans need to own that truth….
“I disagree with the fact that he wants to start using religion as a way to divide people”, Haley said.
“And say, ‘OK, we’re going to be positive role in this, ‘” Haley added of the GOP. President Reagan signed legislation granting amnesty to numerous illegal immigrants then living in the shadows in the US.
“That means stopping illegal immigration”.
After getting Louis’s take, Costello turned back to Shachtman as she recalled: “And lest we forget, Noah, Nikki Haley is conservative”.
“I think you’re correct that it was the wrong note”, Fiorina said during an interview with conservative radio host Mike Gallagher. “There’s lots of things”.

“I have a lot of admiration for the governor”, Denis McDonough, the White House chief of staff, told The New York Times.
As the senior elected Republicans in Washington, Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell were responsible for deciding who would deliver the party’s principal nationally televised reaction Tuesday night.
“I think she’s right – I am angry”.

In defending her positions to reporters this afternoon, Haley let loose a freakish, amnesiac tale of our country’s past. But, that said, you get the drift here.
At a news conference in South Carolina, Haley acknowledged that she took campaign contribution from Trump and that they are good friends.
In the address, Haley criticized some of the rhetoric of the Republican Party, and the next day, she confirmed to Matt Lauer on “Today” that her reference to “angriest voices” included Trump.
Though an admirer of the governor, Limbaugh said on his show Wednesday that her speech was proof that the GOP would like to rid itself of conservatives.
They’re also eager to win more votes from women, who preferred Obama over his Republican opponents by more than 10 percentage points in his 2008 and 2012 elections and have favored the Democratic presidential candidate in each election since 1992.
And yet a Trump candidacy could usher in a Republican rout.
“This isn’t a fight for the soul of the party. But they gave me the opportunity to say what I think, and that’s what I did”, she said.
