Ninja Warrior UK is coming back for a second series in 2016
Ninja Warrior UK sees competitors pushed to their limits as they attempt to complete TV’s toughest obstacle course.
The series featured jaw-dropping challenges and adrenaline-fuelled action as contestants were challenged to complete three punishing stages.
None of the 250 first-series competitors managed to do so (Tim Shieff beat 13 other contestants to get the furthest in the final).
18,000 viewers have already applied for next year. The nail biting episode saw him just miss out on the chance to climb Mount Midoryama by a fraction of a second.
It will be produced by Potato, which is part of ITV Studios and was commissioned by Zubairy and Elaine Bedell, ITV’s director of entertainment and comedy. The series is based on the Tokyo Broadcasting System Television (TBS) format Sasuke.
Ninja Warrior UK is coming back for a second series. “The show’s mix of contestants’ hilarious attempts and inspirational performances is presented brilliantly by Ben, Rochelle and Kammy”, said Asif Zubairy commissioning editor, entertainment.
