Nintendo Announces Super Mario Run Landing on Android, March 23rd
It’s expected the same pricing will be on Android.
Firstly, the full iOS version costs £7.99 which many fans have felt is too much to pay for a mobile game. Pre-registration started for Android in December, and now we’re finally almost there.
Previously, Super Mario Run was exclusive to Apple devices and ranked in over $53 million in revenue. Your Android phone will receive a notification to install once the game is available in the Play Store.
The unlock fee could be pricey, with a $10USD fee listed in comments on the iOS app store reviews. Even though Super Mario Run didn’t strictly adhere to the free to play model, requiring players to dish out $9.99 United States dollars in order to experience the whole shebang, Nintendo still managed to bring home $30 million USD.
But at the time, the company neglected to provide a concrete release date for the game beyond March, leaving many wondering just how long they’d have to wait. It adds new playable characters to the game for both devices, and will also include World 1-4 in the free version if the player completes a Bowser challenge.
