Nintendo announces Yo-Kai Watch will be released on November 6
Yo-Kai Watch, Level-5’s exceptionally successful cross media franchise that began as a series of 3DS RPGs, will finally arrive in North America on November 6th according to Nintendo.
Yo-kai Watch is known to perform incredibly well in Japan. You explore the world in the game using your Yo-kai Watch to discover more than 200 Yo-kai, then befriend them and turn them into a team to battle other Yo-kai.
This fall, Disney XD and other Disney XD-branded platforms will debut the animated comedy series based on Yo-kai. Nintendo’s description of the show sounds a lot like the premise of the game: It “follows the hilarious misadventures of an average human boy and his involvement with the mischievous Yo-kai all around him”.
Yo-Kai Watch tells of a young boy (or girl!) who comes across a mysterious power.
Yo-kai Watch Dance will feature a number of familiar songs from the Yo-kai Watc series, including “Gera Gera Po no Uta” and “Yo-kai Taisou Daiichi”.
And after that, we can probably look forward to even more Yo-Kai Watch games. And Hasbro plans to launch the toy line in January.
Yo-Kai Watch has become a sensation in Japan, raking in over $1 billion with toys and merchandise.
