Nintendo Direct Highlighting Upcoming Switch and 3DS Titles Happening on September 6
While many are hoping this possible Nintendo Direct presentation will give more details on the Nintendo Switch Online, it is plausible lovers of indies will have news to look forward to as well.
Nintendo Direct is an online presentation that first started in 2011.
The Japanese island of Hokkaido was struck by a 6.6 magnitude natural disaster last night, causing landslides and power outages in the region. It was planned to take place today and meant to be broadcast on Nintendo’s official website and their Twitch channel.
Nintendo had also announced that a new game based on the popular Yoshi character would be out earlier this year, but news of that game was left out of E3 2018, where it would normally be released.
Our thoughts are with those affected by the recent natural disasters to hit Japan. Multiple deaths, injuries, and missing people have been reported in the wake of this natural disaster. “Thank you for your understanding”.
In addition to that, the service is offering a Nintendo Switch Online App to “enhance your online experience for compatible games with this smartphone app”. This disaster, named Typhoon Jebi, also resulted in deaths, injuries, floodings, and power outages.
It was just yesterday when the tech giants informed fans to expect a 35 minute presentation, focused on new Switch and 3DS games, to be broadcast later today. In light of this, Nintendo has announced that they will delay Friday’s planned Direct. The original plan was to premiere the Direct today, September 6, at 3 PM Pacific/6 PM Eastern.
