Nintendo Switch frame-rate issues may be caused by Wi-Fi problems

Who could forget serving a tennis ball or conducting an orchestra with just the wave of a controller? It’s a small issue, but if that bothers you too, Nintendo will have Pro controllers. We’re talking games like National Basketball Association 2K18, Skyrim and Skylanders Imaginators. You can also enable Flight Mode for the same effect, though it does not work when the console is docked. You can play it propped up as a tablet.

It’s when you want to do something away from home that the Nintendo Switch features everyone is excited for come into play. This console portable hybrid has received both praise and criticism online, though either way, for gamers who are without a console and seeking to purchase the Switch, the struggle is real.

Included with the Switch are two Joy-Cons and the dock.

Though the problem only seems to show up when you’re sitting around 10 feet from the console and using the Joy-Cons wirelessly, it’s been enough of a problem to get a fair amount of coverage since launch.

Whether that means the end of their “fact-finding” or not is not clear, but it certainly suggests they don’t think the issue is important – or that they’re intent on ignoring it even more. And what a title it is.

Before anyone can go ahead and jailbreak their Switch consoles, be aware that at the moment, there are no third-party applications that will go with your jailbroken device. However, with most having their heads into The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, nothing else would even matter, anyway.

Having a game where I would really need to spend some time working for the best Spritnite Stones or grinding characters on a console seemed less comfortable somehow.

Zelda is the launch game on the Switch.

A year from now, the library will be more robust.

At this point, there’s no internet browser, Netflix, YouTube or other apps available. The only way you could have got one was by waking up super early last Friday and standing in line, like my colleague Sophia did – unless you thought ahead and pre-ordered the device. Are you in the middle of a game and have to go pick your child up from school?

It just so happens that a vulnerability discovered in the Nintendo Switch has a slight iOS correlation – the console uses an outdated version of WebKit, the same version of WebKit used to leverage an iOS 9.3.x jailbreak in the past.
