No. 1 Alabama crushes Kent State

As the University of Alabama welcomes alumni back for Homecoming, head coach Nick Saban will have an alumni moment of his own leading the Crimson Tide against his alma mater, Kent State University.
Alabama sophomore running back Damien Harris left Saturday’s game against Kent State after suffering an apparent leg injury on the opening drive. Quarterback Jalen Hurts threw for just 158 passing yards and have no touchdowns on the ground or through the air. He found Wilson for a 1-yard third-quarter score that was supposed to go to tight end O.J. Howard.
The Golden Flashes trailed the Crimson Tide 41-0 at halftime, and were outgained 352 yards to 53.
Most of the fans, including all but a handful of students, were long gone by then.
Marks’ sucess could provide Alabama with another special teams weapon, but his coach was quick to point out the mistakes the sophmore made when he failed to return a pair of punts.
The Alabama Crimson Tide (3-0) are coming from a 48-43 victory over the Ole Miss Rebels in week 3. Kent State’s offense gained 47 yards on the first play of its first possession. Defensively, Kent State football is yielding 26.3 points per game against the opposing team. The Golden Flashes are led by redshirt freshman quarterback Mylik Mitchell, who leads an offense that is 119th in the nation in yards per game (299.0) and 117th in passing yards per contest (139.7).
Alabama can’t be ranked any higher than No. 1 and this game wasn’t much of an opportunity to impress poll voters anyway.
