Iowa State plays at No. 1 Kansas on Saturday. The Iowa State defense has been on fire lately, allowing an average of 68.3 points per game, well under their season average of 75.3. It didn’t last, though, as Iowa State outscored the Wildcats 15-2 the rest of the way. “It’s a shame because our guys work so hard”. Iwundu finished with 12 points.
“Wes did something that he hasn’t done all year on the turnover”, Weber said. McKay’s double-double was his sixth of the year but just his first since January 6.

Georges Niang scored 17 points and Monte Morris added 11. OSU closed the game on a 13-5 run, pulling as close as six before time ran out.
Abdel Nader then scored on a layup – his only make in seven tries in the first half – and made an and-one free throw to tie the game at 28.
The Cowboys will close out their regular season at 8 p.m. Friday, when they face Texas in Stillwater.
Iowa State coach Steve Prohm went out of his way to issue an apology to K-State for a basket by Cyclone forward Deonte Burton in the final minute of the game.
Prohm went into more length about the play during his post-game press conference.
“I don’t know if I’ll ever experience something as great as (the things) I’ve experienced here”, Niang said after the game when asked about nervousness beforehand. “We weren’t trying to do anything unsportsmanlike”.
“I got a ride over here”, he said. We dribbled out the clock the next time. “As a fan, you have no choice but to respect it because as teammates we all respect it”. “A lot of good people down there whether K-State fans, Kansas fans, Wichita (State)… basketball is basketball – that’s life”.
