No. 22 LSU draws Texas Tech in Texas Bowl Dec. 29

Motivation level: Moderate. The Tigers snapped their three-game losing streak with a 19-7 victory over Texas A&M in the regular-season finale. Tech averages 46.6 points and 594.5 yards per game while allowing 42.6 points and 540.6 yards. The Red Raiders have been up-and-down all season behind talented quarterback Patrick Mahomes, but there is absolutely no question that Texas Tech has the potential to put a huge number on the scoreboard when everything is clicking.

This will be LSU’s first appearance in the Texas Bowl and LSU’s first bowl in Houston since 1972.

Red Raider fans are excited for the upcoming Texas Bowl. “Kliff Kingsbury has them going”. We skipped over to Houston, too, the home of the Texas Bowl. Our recruiting efforts there are certainly significant, and we recruit our student population from that area too.

Miles said he is considering retaining offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, whose three-year contract expires next spring after two poor pass offense seasons out of three. “Our secondary will be looking forward to that challenge”.

The Texas Bowl website also confirmed that Texas Tech was invited via twitter. LSU is 6-4 in bowl games under Miles. Don’t worry though, the previous two games took place in the 1950s with 20 points being the most scored by either team in either matchup.

“A win in the backend of the season really sets the momentum in my opinion as you go into the off-season”, Miles said.
