No Doubt New Album- With Davey Havok Of AFI
Stay linked to the GossipCenter for all the latest updates. AFI celebrates 25 years as a band in 2016 and it seems odd that the lead singer would jump ship to form a new group with everyone in No Doubt except Gwen Stefani. So where does this leave Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young, aka Stefani’s No Doubt bandmates?
The new quartet has already recorded an album and is in the process of seeking a label deal, Billboard reports. They released Push and Shove with Stefani in 2012 and toured past year, but sales on that album were not good and Gwen appears to have moved on with new management and focus for her career.
AFI haven’t released an album since Burials in 2013 and Havok has been focusing on side projects Blaqk Audio, and XTRMST before turning his hand to work on this current band. It remains to be seen what the new supergroup will call themselves, or when we might hear the album.
The group will surely come as a surprise to fans as back in April the band said they were uncertain about their future.
AFI’s Davey Havok Plays ‘Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction?’ So does this mean that No Doubt as we know it is about to become history? It will be her first album since 2006. More recently, the band performed at Austin City Limits Fest in 2014, where it made Rolling Stone’s “10 Best Things We Saw at Austin City Limits Fest 2014”.
