No EA Access for Titanfall 2
EA (or Origin if you’re on PC) Access has been a pretty great service. However, Titanfall 2 won’t be joining the program.
They have confirmed to GameReactor that the game will not be featured on EA and Origin Access, meaning no playing the game early, no discounts, no playing it for free. For EA, Respawn Entertainment is an independent second party studio, not unlike Remedy Entertainment who worked with Microsoft on Quantum Break.
This has been confirmed by the developers of Titanfall 2 themselves to the folks at Game Reactor.
The thing about EA published games is that if you were to buy them via EA Access or Origin Access, you would typically be able to access the game a little earlier than everyone else.
Although seemingly fit for both Origin and EA Access, as per its criteria, a disclaimer statement appears in the small print of the latter’s FAQ page which underscores the above. A monthly subscription to EA/Origin Access costs £3.99. Will it affect your decision to purchase Titanfall 2 if you’re a subscriber?
Expectations are high when it comes to Titanfall 2, the sequel to Respawn’s debut shooter which released back in 2014.
