No Hugh Grant in Bridget Jone’s Third Sequel?
Remember Hugh Grant playing the sensational role in Bridget Jone’s Diary? Well, the handsome actor is the “edge of reason” now.
The heartthrob of millions all over the world, Hugh Grant, has officially stepped down from the highly anticipated third part of the Bridget Jones Diary series. One of the most prominent stars of the blockbuster series, aged 54 years, will no longer be visible in the expected third part. The third book, named “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy”, was written by author Helen Fielding. It was released in 2013.
There were gossips all around about the third film with its lead protagonist, Renee Zellweger, reprising the title role. However, the Hugh Grant’s playboy type, scandalous role of Daniel Cleaver would not be a part of this smash-hit series anymore.
In this third installment, Daniel and Bridget do not share a romantic relationship. However, he plays an important role in her kids’ lives.

Grant commented to Free Radio about the sequel saying that he decided not to do it. However, the things are going to go ahead and do it without Daniel is what Grant believes. Grant informed, “But I think they’re going to go ahead and do it without Daniel.” He added that the book is excellent, and it’s no wonder. All the parts of Bridget Jones are interesting and amazing. However, the stories of all the parts remain unique and exclusive and so is the third script. Hugh Grant further added that the script is entirely different and he last saw the script a few years back. Grant stated, “The book’s excellent, by the way, but the script is completely different — well, the script as I last saw it a few years ago.”
The question remains will the movie be a runaway success without the good-looking Hugh Grant?
