No jail time! John Stamos under 3yrs probation for DUI
After his rehab stint, Stamos tweeted his thanks to fans for their support, announcing that he was ready to get back to work on his TV projects, including the upcoming Netflix revival, Fuller House. The actor stated he was using the drug as a fitness supplement.
Stamos was pulled over by police in Beverly Hills and hospitalized after concerned onlookers reported his erratic driving and odd behavior, prosecutors said last month.
Stamos was charged with DUI due to GHB in his system and another unspecified non-narcotic drug during his arrest.
John Stamos pleaded no contest to his June 12 DUI charge Tuesday morning and won’t face the possible maximum jail sentence of six months or even court-ordered community service, Deadline reports.
Canyon News reached out to Public Information Officer Ricardo Santiago at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office to gain specifics as to what drug Stamos was under the influence of at the time of his arrest.
According to TMZ, Stamos’ plea bargain also includes agreeing to attend two hours of drug and alcohol counseling and attending 52 AA meetings over the next year.
Stamos did not appear in court Tuesday and his plea was entered by an attorney on his behalf.
