No More Csi For Ted Danson
The twosome are set for NBC’s new Michael Schur comedy series “Good Place“, the network announced today.
The former Cheers star was only a part of the show because he had one year left on his contract for the original CSI, which ended earlier this season with a TV movie.
Good People follows Eleanor (Bell), who after realizing that she hasn’t been a very good person, decides to improve her life.
Good Place season one will be 13 episodes. She sets out to learn what it means to be good and bad, then works to make up for her past behavior.
Kristen Bell will reportedly continue to act on Showtime’s House of Lies if it gets picked up for a sixth season. She enlists the help of Michael (Danson), who guides her through a self-designed self-improvement course, Variety reports.
With his starring role on “Good Place“, Danson would not return to “CSI: Cyber“, in which he now stars, should CBS order a third season.
Besides “Cheers”, Ted Danson has made his mark on several other acclaimed comedies, including HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Bored to Death”. Bell’s TV credits include Veronica Mars, Deadwood, Heroes, Party Down, Gossip Girl, Parks and Recreation, and House of Lies.
That’s hard, but it can be done – Maggie Lawson remained a series regular on USA’s Psych while she also starred on the ABC sitcom Back in the Game, thanks to the fact that the series shot at different times. Schur and 3 Arts’ David Miner exec produce.
