No more headphone jack? Next iPhone could change the way you listen
“Second, a thinner device would also have less structural rigidity, meaning that it would be even more susceptible to being bent than its predecessors”. Other changes attributed to Mac Otakara include the possibility that the iPhone 7 will be waterproof and might feature glass-on-glass touch panels.
Apple makes connector changes because its hardware designers seem to be freed up from worrying about legacy connectivity issues.
Ditching the audio jack also would negatively impact mobile payments firm Square (NYSE:SQ) and rival service GoPayment from Intuit (NASDAQ:INTU). Others are waiting for this to be confirmed since they have heard of these rumors in the past. Credit Suisse projects Apples global iPhone installed base to grow from 400 million users in 2014 to about 615 million by 2017. The coming iPhone 7 is said to be coming in a millimeter thinner than the latest iPhone.
Most, if not all, smart phones have headphone jacks, as smart phones are not only used to make calls or send text messages, but they’re also used for entertainment like listening to music.
Now, we all are impatiently waiting for the new phone.
And earlier this year, Apple released the new Macbook, which replaces standard USB ports with a new, thinner, smaller USB-C port that doubles as the computer’s power connector. The smartphones would be out earlier than the next version.

Having the fingerprint scanner built-in directly to the display could possibly mean that the next version of the iPhone would no longer have the Home button. A report on Apple Insider points out that the company had hinted about Lightning conductor supported accessories at WWDC previous year as well. As a result, this allows OLED powered screens to display a much wider range of colours. We now have the Galaxy S6 Edge, which has something like that on the sides but doesn’t go all the way around. A high quality video now takes most of that in a short amount of time.
We’ll have to see how this all plays outIt’s important to note that these aren’t official numbers from Apple; they’re third-party estimates. After the iPhone 4, the company has been dedicated to pushing their devices out in September/October.
Look out for the heavily loaded camera on the rear side of the device that makes you an expert photographer even if you’re completely ignorant about photography.
