No report of Indians killed in Paris
The French official also said that no Indian national has been identified among the casualties.
“As I speak, terrorist attacks of unprecedented proportions are underway in the Paris area. France has advised citizens to stay indoors”, Swaraj, who is in Los Angeles to attend Regional Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD), tweeted. Earlier, Manish Prabhat, Indian Deputy Chief of Mission here had told PTI that “So far, no casualty of any Indian has been reported as per the information available with us”.
Prabhat said Paris was home to a few 100,000 Indians. According to reports, the attack sites are Bataclan concert venue, Le Carillon, Le Petit Cambodge, 20 rue Alibert, La Belle Equipe, Near Stade de France and reports of gunfire at least from one other site. “The nations must stand together and ensure that these terrorists are neutralized”, he added. “Reinforced measures are being implemented throughout the Paris region”, he said.
The brutal attack on the French soil has sounded a high alert in India with security beefed up outside several foreign embassies including the French embassy and consulates and law enforcement agencies heightening its vigil across the country.
