No, There’s No Margulies-Panjabi Feud IRL
But there’s also no need to do that, because Archie Panjabi read the Vulture story, too, and went on Twitter to take issue with the middle sentence, clearing up any confusion.
The ladies did not film their final scene in the series together after several seasons of never appearing on screen together in the same scene. Now, Margulies has spoken out, noting that it was simply scheduling conflicts that led to the scene.
“I was thrilled that she watched the show and that she was not lying”, Margulies said when shown one of Clinton’s emails asking what time The Good Wife aired. “[Panjabi] was also doing another show, called The Fall [which shots in the U.K.].I went along with whatever Robert asked me to do and I did it happily”. “The ending was very satisfying for the characters and I stand by how Robert and Michelle King produce their show”.
Before the premiere of season seven of The Good Wife, TVLine asked the Kings to comment on the trick season finale, and again, the producers evaded commenting on the rumored rift between the stars. Margulies continues to deny The Good Wife finale used a split screen because of friction between the actresses. Apparently, their own relationship mirrored the rocky one between Kalinda and Alicia, who were once best friends as well as co-workers, but whose friendship broke apart when it was revealed that Kalinda once slept with Alicia’s husband, Peter.
Marguiles has recently claimed that the rumors of a feud are and always have been false.
“Right, I’ve heard about [the feud]”. There’s no story there, sorry …
At Sunday’s New Yorker Festival, Margulies addressed the rumors that she and Panjabi are locked in a secret years-long feud that seriously affected the filming of the CBS staple series. I feel people just like to have gossip or make something into something that isn’t there. And consider the fact that “The Fall’s” actual star, Gillian Anderson, was simultaneously a regular on NBC’s “Crisis” and still managed to film scenes for “Hannibal” while she was in transit between the two shows.
“The Good Wife” feud rages on. There’s no animosity on my part.
“But on Monday, October 5, Panjabi, 43, tweeted a link to Margulies’ interview, writing, “@TheFallTV was not even in production at that time and I was in New York ready to film the scene!”
Asked about the same scene earlier this year, Panjabi simply stated: “The decision-making process is not something I’m privy to”.
The Julianna Margulies-Archie Panjabi feud is back on.
