Nokia 3310 4G (TA-1077) spotted on TENAA, runs YunOS
The fact why HMD Global will update the Nokia 2 to the latest Android 8.1 Oreo is the fact that it comes with Android Go memory management and features that will help Nokia 2 to run faster on the latest Android version.
Last day, the new NOKIA 3310 4G (TA-1077) was seen getting certification from TENAA in China. Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, has confirmed on Twitter that the Nokia 2 will actually jump straight to Android 8.1.
The price of $ 99 is pretty good about the features of the device and its specifications.
Thus far, no details about the LTE version of the phone have been officially announced. YunOS, also known as Aliyun OS is a forked version of Android that offers Alibaba-powered cloud-based email and navigation features but is limited in terms of overall functionality due to restricted Google Play services. Not only this, Nokia also gets 16th position in the smartphones vendor list.
Given its Android roots, there is a remote possibility that the phone might support some Android apps. VTechgrapgy, a Chinese-language website, dug deeper and reports that the phone will run YunOS, a variation of Android. Today’s listing of the TA-1054 model also has the same images, but the specifications of this model differ. It is still unknown whether the new 4G variant will be a part of the new platform. The Nokia 1 is going to unveil in the emerging markets on the Google’s Android Go. Moving on the camera, it sports 2-megapixel rear camera sensor with an LED flash. It is backed by a 1,200mAh battery and supports dual SIM dual standby.
Connectivity options include 4G, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
For starters, the Nokia 1 would deliver entry level specs along with a matching price. The phone will be available in two colors: fresh blue and dark black and is expected to be unveiled in China next month.
