Nokia 3310 is back; Here’s what it looks like
Nokia 3310 was originally launched in the year 2000.
The new Nokia, which is owned by private equity-controlled HMD Global, unveiled an updated Nokia 3310 before this week’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade show in Barcelona.
In 2017, Nokia sold its handset business to Microsoft for $7 Billion and a year ago, HMD bought the brand Nokia from Microsoft. Running the latest, Android 7.0 Nougat.
The Nokia 6 launched in China at the beginning of February, but it wasn’t expected to arrive in Europe quite so soon, if at all.
It also boasts a 2 MP camera with LED flash, 16 MB storage and 2.4 inch screen. This model comes in a special, high-gloss black finish.
The 3310 was a cell phone staple in the 2000s and sold more than 100 million units. While the Nokia 5 is said to be priced at €199 (Rs 14,000 approx), Nokia 3 will come handy at just €149 (Rs 11,000 approx). Additionally, there is a Micro SD card slot supports up to 32GB. It has a rear camera with a 13 MP sensor and an 8 MP front camera.
Nokia has revived the classic phone with a dash of colour.
However, the phone relies on 2.5G connectivity to provide basic Internet facilities, and has no wi-fi capabilities. The re-released device will reportedly have “22 hours of talk time with a one-month battery life on standby” and, yes, Snake will be back as well, according to Wired.
One of the many features that the iconic Nokia 3310 is known for is its fun filling games like the chief of all and Snake II. The company launched two new smartphones apart from Nokia 6, and stunt everybody with the design, specifications and price in which the company will offer these technology beauties.
3310 is a simple device, which lacks the complexity of these complicated and hi-tech mobile phones from our days.
