Nokia 5 v/s Moto G5: Which one to buy?
The Moto G5 Plus also has a metal design and promises the most advanced 12MP camera in its class. If you’re on a budget, there’s plenty to grab your attention, albeit a few things that might give you pause.
The Moto G5 is the “base” model for this “more for less” duo. The Moto G5 will be available with two variants 2GB/4GB RAM in 16GB or 32GB flavours with microSD card support for cards of up to 128GB respectively. A five megapixel front camera accompanies.
It also has a five-megapixel front camera for selfies. There’s a fingerprint sensor too, and Motorola will offer the Moto G5 in lunar gray, fine gold, and – in certain regions at least – a sapphire blue finish.
What do you think about the new Moto G5 and G5 Plus smartphones from Motorola? Both the phones offer a 1080p resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and a water repellent nano-coating up-top. The processor has been clocked considerably higher at 2GHz, and Lenovo upped the battery capacity to 3,000mAh. The smartphone will have storage options of 32GB and 64 GB. It comes with a 12-megapixel f/1.7 camera with dual-focus pixels, which can record 4K video.
The Moto G is equipped with a 13-megapixel main camera, a five-megapixel front camera and a 2,800 mAh battery. Unfortunately neither will contain NFC technology for mobile payments for U.S. customers (though it may be included in global versions of the G5 Plus).
Motorola’s main marketing push behind the G series is the appeal of premium features at an affordable price tag. Similarly, Moto G5 Price in India will fall around Rs 19,500 considering the price of Euro 279.
On the software side, both devices will be running the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, with company’s own custom flavor on top. “Photographer-quality camera. Striking screen resolution and display”. The tool lets users navigate their screen via the fingerprint scanner. Granted, nearly all the latest smartphones, and some not so latest ones, will claim to deliver on those, but few of them will be able to claim they deliver in a cost-effective package.
For those who are acquainted with last year’s Moto G4 smartphones this year’s addition to the line comes as a pleasant surprise. The Motos are also still hanging on to microUSB ports instead of the newer USB-C standard.
The Moto G5 won’t actually be launching in the United States at all, but the G5 Plus will arrive sometime in April of this year.
