Nokia Relaunching Tweaked Version Of Classic 3310 Feature Phone
The Nokia 5 too, features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, which is expandable via MicroSD cards.
Launched in 2000, Nokia’s original 3310 sold almost 120 million units worldwide before it was discontinued in 2005, making it one of the world’s best-selling mobile phones. The revamped Nokia 3310 comes in four colours, shiny yellow and red colours and blue and grey with a matte finish.
The new Nokia 3310 will retail at an average global retail price $52, and will be available to purchase during the second quarter of this year.
HMD global has kept the key aspects of the phone intact. Expect countless durability test videos when the device is released in Q2 (April-June) this year for 49 euros, or around $52 U.S.
A report from GizmoChina, which has cited an anonymous source that “was one of the first to report the revival of the Nokia 3310”, said the phone will not run Android.
Just like its predecessor, it will be called the Nokia 3310. The device sports a polycarbonate body with a machined aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass on top, created to give a premium finish to a budget handset.
Nokia will be bringing back its classic 3310 handset, the phone brand has confirmed, complete with its classic Snake game and a one-month-long battery life. This device is based on Nokia Series 30+ OS and supports 2G connectivity. That said, the company says that the new Snake game gets optimized for the new color display.
Nokia 3310 launch: What’s the price? The leak further adds that the phone will have a colour screen, unlike the monochrome screen on the original model. Nokia 3310 has 2.4 inch QVGA display with a Primary camera of 2MP equipped with LED flash.
Some of its specs are laughable compared to today’s standards – take for example the 2-megapixel rear camera.
