Nolan North doesn’t think fans want an Uncharted movie
North says emotional investment could ruin an Uncharted movie.. Comprising three of the very best titles of last generation, the HD collection is the near-perfect appetizer ahead of the release of next year’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. One of the film adaptations that fans believed was the prime choice to make a jump to the big screen was Uncharted.
Nolan North, the voice actor behind Nathan Drake, recently mentioned that he doesn’t think fans of the Uncharted games want them to be turned into a movie. “Maybe it’s because it’s such a cinematic experience in itself, but I don’t know if it’s financially feasible to make this film anymore”, he said. According to the news outlet, because of the fast-paced nature of the game, controlling the main character is much more exciting than just sitting and watching the whole story unveil. A few have, I know Resident Evil did ok, but that’s a different genre.

Ever since the first Uncharted game was released back in 2007, Sony has been in talks about adapting the franchise into a film. Based on his interactions with fans, it’s just not something they’re looking for. He’s also actually quite punny on his Twitter feed too.
