Nolito avoiding ‘distraction’ of Arsenal rumours
In a press conference, Torrecilla revealed the club are on the verge of rewarding Nolito with a new deal that, according to local newspaper Faro de Vigo, will set his release clause in £18.3m ($28.14m).
According to the report, the Catalans will pursue a deal for Celta Vigo’s Nolito when the transfer window reopens in January, with Atletico Madrid playmaker Koke and Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos also high on their list of priorities.
The Spain global, who has scored five goals and assisted three in La Liga this term, has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League since the summer.
Celta Vigo attacker Nolito has insisted that he is not paying too much attention to rumours linking him with a move to Barcelona.
‘I am peaceful and are just looking to keep doing conjunction Celta. I always try to be happy and relaxed.
“As I said, I try to stay out of this, because it’s not good to lose concentration with these things”. “I have disconnected from everything they say about Michigan”. “I haven’t stated whether to Nolito or his representative”.
Although Nolito is a relatively late-bloomer, having only earned his first global cap past year, his consistent displays for Celta in recent seasons, suggests that he could prove to be a major asset for either Liverpool or Arsenal.
“I do understand that things are being said”.
