Non-bailable warrant issued against MLA Rajballabh Yadav
On allegations on RJD of promoting “Jungle Raj” Tejaswi Yadav, leader of RJD Legislature party in the state Assembly, brushed it aside saying “these are old sayings”.
An ANI report stated that raids have been carried out on Saturday night time at many places to arrest Nawada RJD MLA Raj Ballabh Yadav after the grievance was registered towards him.
Speaking to the reporters RJD state president Ram Chandra Purbe said, “It is a serious offence”. He added that this decision has been taken to ensure that nobody damages the party’s reputation in near future.
The police action follows after Shalin found the charges levelled against the legislator true.
The girl had identified the accused MLA when his photograph was shown to her and later she identified him in person also, the DIG said. “We suspect a big sex racket in which at least four women work as agents to entice girls and hand them over to high-profile clients”, said a police source.
The statement of the girl has been taken under section 164 of IPC and an FIR was lodged against the accused MLA with Women police station in Nalanda on February 9.
During police investigations, the girl identified legislator Yadav as the man who allegedly raped her.
Yadav’s could not be contacted on his mobile phone as it was “out of coverage”.
