North Carolina Mall Shooting Sends Shoppers Scrambling

Police could be seen blocking all mall entrances.
Shauntelle Hamrick, the manager of the Journeys shoe store, told CNN an altercation broke out inside of a store in the mall.
WCNC reported that Charlotte Police told them there was an argument between two groups of people inside the mall.
A shooting at a North Carolina mall injured three people and sent shoppers scrambling on the last day of shopping before Christmas. When one of the people pointed a weapon, the officer opened fire, he said.
Putney also says the officer was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.
According to WBTV.com, a gunman was shot and killed by an officer there. The man was shot and pronounced dead on scene.
Authorities did not say whether the deceased subject was killed by police or by another person during the altercation.
Leah Lowery was near the Icing store on her way to Starbuck when she heard the gunshots. Police said that family members should go to the AMC parking lot to look for relatives.
