Norwich City reject two Lewis Grabban bids
Bournemouth have had two bids rejected by Norwich for striker Lewis Grabban, according to Sky sources.
Norwich have rejected two bids for striker Lewis Grabban from his old club Bournemouth.
He began his career as a Crystal Palace trainee and spent time on loan at Oldham and Motherwell before signing for Millwall for £150,000 in January 2008.
But Neil, speaking ahead of his side’s Capital One Cup match with Rotherham United on Tuesday, insists Grabban remains an important member of his first team squad and will be among the travelling party for their trip to the New York Stadium. Lewis is a clever boy and he can see how much he has featured under me since I have been here and he is a big part of our plans.
Grabban has not started Norwich’s last two Premier League games, but was a key figure for Neil during Norwich’s Championship promotion push until a late red card in April’s 1-1 draw at Rotherham.
“Apart from that, I certainly don’t want to be selling him to a club who are one of our direct rivals, that’s the bottom line”.
He moved to Carrow Road from Bournemouth in June 2014. “There’s some things that happen you don’t expect and we’ll be prepared for that”.
